Just as the responsibility for risk control is shared amongst several departments within the University, so too is the task of preventing and controlling hazards. EHS works with several departments to identify and select various engineering controls, work practices, administrative controls and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to address hazardous exposures in the workplace. EHS also coordinates several medical surveillance programs, such as hearing conservation for at-risk employees.
